I went to a number of places to pick out an engagement ring and wedding band and this little family-owned jewelry store is leaps and bounds above the rest. They are friendly, knowledgable, honest and are really interested in taking the time to help get the perfect piece you will love in your price range. Their merchandise is high quality and competitively priced. They do all their own repairs, resizing, engraving and appraisals. I wasn't sure what i wanted and they helped me pick out a lovely setting for my engagement ring using family stones. I loved their work so much that i went back later and selected a wedding band that compliments it perfectly. You will not be disappointed with their service or their merchandise.

My girlfriend gave me the stone from her mother's old ring, which she thought would be perfect for me to use so that I could just focus on finding a setting for it to go in. Once I had a general idea of what I wanted, I went to this jewelry store on a Tuesday and asked Rob and Linda to show me what kinds of settings they had. Unfortunately, the one that I wanted was little too big for the stone I already had, and I was trying to get this done by Thursday, as I already had plans to pop the question that night. Fortunately, they were really good sports and took this as their challenge of the day and found a way to order the correct setting, set the stone, and have it ready by the end of the day on Thursday.

Once I had popped the question and realized that the setting needed to be re-sized, I brought my fiance and her ring in for Rob to take a look at. Once he determined that the setting was just too big to re-size himself, he said he would re-order the correct size, free of charge, and would then sell the one that my fiance already had later on. He says that we are still his customers, even after we walk out the doors, and he definitely proved that to us over the past few weeks. We will continue going to My Jewelry Shop because of the great service, high quality merchandise, and fair prices.

Because when I am buying and selling rare stones and precious metals I expect first class service...

Ok, since the only other time I've ever been to a jeweler was to have a watch fixed I can't wax poetic about how they rival the Cartier store in Luxembourg. What I do know is this husband and wife run shop went high and above the few others I went too when looking for estate appraisals, including having a high-end costume jewelery expert on hand. They went to great lengths to explain exactly what was what, from difference in metals, to gem cuts, brilliance, etc...

From the sit down exploration of jewelry boxes, to the final appraisal I don't think I've ever encountered more personable and professional service ever. I know I am not the only one as the shop maintained a steady flow of regular customers, who the owners knew by name, over the few hours I was there.

I don't know about you, but I appreciated the family feel when dealing with family heirlooms...I wish I could give a 6th star :)
